Watching Lewis ...

When it's nearly evening, my dad draws the curtains - the joyous sunlight is shut out of the lounge - 

Soon it will be time to watch Lewis -

I'm not sure that my dad can follow the plot - 

I think that Lewis has got a bit porky since the days of Morse - 

Perhaps our lives are measured, or marked, by the TV shows we watched - 

My dad remembers Buck in The High Chaparral, washing his hands whilst wearing rawhide gloves - 

That scene still makes him laugh -
