I'm reading Doctor Sleep at the moment - whilst I'm reading it, I forget, for a moment, my anxieties about my parents - 

I used to see copies of Salem's Lot and The Shining on the dark shelves of second hand bookshops - 

Tessa was badly shaken as a result of reading Pet Sematory - 

I'm not sure why I hadn't read Stephen King before now - perhaps it was the unsettling covers of the fat paperbacks - 

But now I'm reading all about Danny Torrance, Abra and The True Knot -
