Already I felt the zinging of airport electricity ...



Today I wore shoes without socks - 

I walked through the gentle town towards the river - 

The bright sun warmed the quiet pavements - 

The Black Bear sheltered drowsy bearded idlers - 

Paul's scissors reflected April sunlight -

Delicate clouds graced the sky - 

Jim Etherington was playing growling guitar tonight - 

Power boats from immaculate marinas barely disturbed the water - 

Anne and Tessa walked ahead of me - 

Tessa carried with her a net of stories - 

I looked for jets above the poplar trees - 

Already I felt the zinging of airport electricity -
