Of course, there were no cars my dad said - 

You could play in the street - 

If a car came, it was an event - 

People would come out to look - 

Even doctors came round on bikes - 

You paid half a crown for a visit - 

Sometimes the doctor wouldn't take the half a crown - 

We played Kick Stone Trot - 

There was another game, when things were thrown at you whilst you were running -

I don't remember what they called that game - 

The Gaso was in Road View -
