Glass towers reflected the last light of the sun ...

On my way to the Switch House, I spent time in an austere gallery, empty save for a few creatives -

I gazed at the beautiful unsettling photographs -

I saw shattered temples, razed monuments, scorched wastes of stone -

Each photograph had been sold -

A young woman with an exquisite bob accepted a glass of wine -

The black clad creatives murmured in a corner -

The photographs were hung on immaculate walls -

Outside the gallery, the river rose with the tide -

A helicopter flew over the city -

Glass towers reflected the last light of the sun -
