The Tiger Moth ...

After sticky toffee pudding, we walked from Middle Beach towards Bramble Bay -

Pete told me about the customers who visited The Yellow Shop -

There was Paul, who treated him to a sausage roll every other day -

Paul had told Pete over the watch batteries that he'd done time - in the 1960's he'd killed a taxi driver - he didn't have the money for the fare Pete said -

Maire wore blue converses -

Herring gulls watched dads playing cricket

We heard the noise of a small aircraft - there, flying low over the dunes, was a Tiger Moth -

I thought of Antoine de Saint-Exupery - what would it be like, I wondered, to fly at night over oceans of sand?
