The golden coat still held the warmth of all her summers -
I remembered her running through a ripening field -
The white stones in the dry river bed -
Goats eating withered oak leaves -
Swallows above the cypress trees -
The afternoon silence of the valley -
The joy of her running -
The coolness of the hall in the marble house -
