We were above Crag Lough, near Highshield Crags - I was sunburnt and happy -
I imagined myself in one of Samuel Palmer's shining landscapes -
Beyond the dark blue lake, bright moorland stretched northwards to low wooded hills -
Two small skiffs were moored close to the shore of the lake -
Swans flew over the calm water -
Perhaps, I thought, I might learn to fish - I could return here, to cast my line one dream filled afternoon -
