Bamburgh beach ...

We followed a mazy path through the high dunes - 

Behind us, the castle faced the sea road to Lindisfarne -

Wind swept over the marram grass - 

I walked barefoot on the fine sand - 

There were feathers of cloud in the pale blue sky -
