I gazed at the woodcuts in the pristine space -

I lost track of time -

I entered the dreams found in the sleeping wood - 

I saw gargoyles crouched over a dark city - 

Rain fell from a violent city - 

Lightning was a white zig zag tongue - 

A spider's cruel shape framed St Paul's -

A whale toyed with drowning men -

A harvest moon gleamed in a sacred sky -
