Once men marked by weather and hard seasons had walked this way - 

They'd followed one of the old roads -

Felt the wind from the sea against their skin -

The flint and chalk beneath their feet - 

They knew the strong names of their kingdom - 

Burning Cliff -

Daggers Gate -

White Nothe -

They breathed its air - 

They knew its stars above coombe and barrow -

The smell of the smoke from their father's hearths -
