Pilgrims had passed through here -
The same winter's sun had lengthened their tired shadows -
The same stone arch was above my head -
I remembered the high path to chapel above the sea -
How I'd cast a pebble into the bright spring -
My own shadow lengthened -
The sun drew closer to the twilight earth -
