The crenellated folly overlooked the lake -

Two languid centuries ago, an aristo had ordered the stream dammed -

Now, tree roots were lapped by dark water -

Dragonflies were blue zigzagging marvels -

We walked on, towards the castle -

Festival tents were still being cleared away in the castle grounds -

Invisible musicians played their guitars, shook their invisible hair -
